Legal Recruitment and Professional Development Coordinator

Hinckley Allen is seeking a Legal Recruitment and Professional Development Coordinator. The ideal candidate must have exceptional verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, analytical and problem-solving skills, an ability to handle confidential matters and attention to detail. Candidate must also have an ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, enjoy being an active contributor to a highly-motivated team and effectively interface with all levels of attorneys, staff and outside vendors. The coordinator will work closely with the Director of Legal Practice & Talent Management and Manager of Legal Recruitment and Professional Development to coordinate attorney and paralegal recruitment, onboarding and development.

Primary Responsibilities:

Legal Recruiting

  • Work with Manager of Legal Recruitment and Professional Development to administer all aspects of recruiting process, including on-campus interviewing, summer program and lateral attorney and paralegal hiring.
  • Coordinate on-campus interview registration with law school career services offices.
  • Coordinate interview schedules for recruits and interviewers, including travel arrangements and accommodation where applicable or necessary.
  • Collect interview feedback from attorneys to ensure timely hiring decisions.
  • Assist with due-diligence for candidates (e.g., references, bar admission verifications, conflicts checks, etc.).
  • Assist with all aspects of the summer program, including organizing, planning and attending social events.
  • Assist with orientations and onboarding programs.
  • Oversee LawCruit for accuracy and reporting functions.
  • Maintain careers page on firm website.
  • Prepare and monitor recruiting and retention statistics.
  • Keep abreast of current recruiting practices.

Professional Development

  • Assist the Director of Legal Practice & Talent Management and Manager of Legal Recruiting and Professional Development in all aspects of the attorney development process, including preparation of attorney and paralegal evaluations, administering training  programs, overseeing bar and CLE registration/compliance issues, and new attorney and paralegal orientation programs.
  • Coordinate logistics with all offices for trainings programs, including scheduling, facilities, invitations, and materials.
  • Coordinate all aspects of CLE programs and CE Manager database; maintain working knowledge of CLE rules, regulations and guidelines promulgated by the individual states in which our attorneys practice.
  • Handle additional related projects assigned.

Education and experience: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.

Litigation Support Technician

Boston, MA

The Litigation Support Technician will directly assist the firm’s attorneys and support staff in the use of specialized technology in their practice of law. Support activities include vital E-Discovery activities such as data ingestion and management, database design, implementation and management, creating presentations, exhibits and documentation in preparation for trial. Other activities include, working with state of the art e-discovery tools and assisting with courtroom technology.

Experience in an e-discovery support role is required. The successful candidate will be highly organized, able to manage a variety of work with differing priorities, and work independently or as part of a team.

Successful candidates will also have the ability to work directly with attorneys and possibly firm clients. Previous experience in Litigation Support within a law firm or vendor operation is required.

Required Skills

  • Experience in the use of eDiscovery processing and review tools such as Relativity, LAW, Summation, Concordance, etc.
  • Experience with software products such as Microsoft Office, Ultra Edit, Adobe Acrobat.
  • Experience providing customer support to clients with varying skill levels.
