Date:
Time:

Hinckley Allen’s Ron Ciotti will be speaking at the Associated General Contractors of Massachusetts (AGCMA) event about the new AIA A201 and ConsensusDocs Contract documents. The American Institute of Architects (AIA) recently updated its A201 general conditions and related agreements for the first time in a decade. ConsensusDocs, which is written and endorsed by 40 organizations, including AGC and owners groups, also recently updated its most used agreements. Learn what is new and different about these documents, different negotiation strategies, and how you can leverage these updates in your next contract. Even if you do not use standard industry contracts, these updates will definitely impact what is coming in future contract requirements. This seminar will cover:

  • Critical new language including: payment; termination; time and delays, notice, insurance requirement, means and methods, submittals and much more
  • Learn contract negotiation strategies in making modifications to standards documents and leveraging the differences between the two standard document provisions
  • Understand the new AIA A201, agreements, and insurance exhibit.
