Michael is a partner in the Litigation Group where he practices in the area of complex commercial litigation and insurance coverage and recovery matters for corporate and individual policy holders. In his practice, Mike assists clients with the assessment and pursuit of claims for recovery of insurance benefits in complex matters under various types of insurance policies, including general liability, property, director and officer liability, health and disability, and errors and omissions policies. Mike also advises corporate risk managers and other business executives regarding their insurance portfolios, and he represents insurance industry clients in administrative regulatory proceedings.

In addition to his insurance practice, Mike represents manufacturers, distributors and sellers of products in product liability, mass tort, and warranty claim disputes and litigation. Mike also represents financial services clients in securities litigation, arbitration, and regulatory proceedings.

Mike has tried cases on behalf of clients from various industries in state and federal courts, and successfully argued cases before the Connecticut Supreme Court and Connecticut Appellate Court. He has also represented clients in complex mediation and arbitration, as well as administrative regulatory proceedings in the Connecticut Insurance Department, Connecticut Department of Banking, and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (“FINRA”).
