Best Lawyers® Recognizes 7 Hinckley Allen Partners as “Lawyers of the Year” for 2017


Hinckley, Allen & Snyder LLP is pleased to announce that Best Lawyers® has recognized partners William S. Fish Jr, Michael L. Koenig, Mark S. McCue, Gerald J. Petros, Paul A. Silver, Richard Y. Uchida, and David A. Wollin as 2017 Best Lawyers in America®“Lawyers of the Year.”

William S. Fish, Jr., a Partner of the Firm’s Corporate & Business practice, has been named by Best Lawyers’ as the 2017 Litigation – Bankruptcy “Lawyer of the Year” in Hartford. Fish’s practice spans across a number of legal disciplines including business services, complex commercial litigation, bankruptcy and creditors’ rights, eminent domain, and the First Amendment.

Michael L. Koenig, a Partner and member of the Firm’s Litigation and White Collar Defense & Government Investigations practices, has been named by Best Lawyers’ as the 2017 Criminal Defense: White-Collar “Lawyer of the Year” in Albany. Koenig represents, defends and advises corporate and individual clients in all aspects of white collar criminal matters, government investigations, corporate internal investigations and complex civil litigation.

Mark S. McCue, a Partner and Chair of the Healthcare Law Group, has been named by Best Lawyers’ as the 2017 Corporate Law “Lawyer of the Year” in Concord. McCue advises health systems, hospitals, continuing care retirement communities and other providers regarding regulatory compliance, governance and corporate matters, and transactions.

Gerald J. Petros, a Partner and Co-Chair of the Litigation group and Environmental practices, has been named by Best Lawyers’ as the 2017 Energy Law “Lawyer of the Year” in Providence. Petros focuses on commercial litigation with an emphases on complex commercial litigation, energy related matter, and environmental litigation.

Paul A. Silver, a Partner and member of the Firm’s Trusts & Estates practice, has been named by Best Lawyers’ as the 2017 Trusts and Estates “Lawyer of the Year” in Providence. Silver is focused in the areas of trust and estate planning and administration, with additional work in the area of personal income taxes and other individual related legal issues. He specialized in representation of tax-exempt organizations and charitable gift planning, representing both institutions and donors.

Richard Y. Uchida, a Partner and member of the Firm’s Real Estate practice has been named by Best Lawyers’ as the 2017 Litigation – Real Estate “Lawyer of the Year” in Concord. Uchida advises clients on formations, acquisitions and sales of business and commercial leasing. Richard often serves as outside counsel to a number of New Hampshire law firms, and regularly represents attorneys and judges in professional conduct matters.

David A. Wollin, a Partner and member of the Litigation and Health Care practices, has been named by Best Lawyers’ as the 2017 Environmental Law and Product Liability Litigation – Defendants “Lawyer of the Year” in Providence. Wollin is an experienced trial and appellate lawyer who regularly handles complex and novel commercial and tort cases for publicly traded companies and private clients.
