Hinckley Allen Grows its Corporate & Business Presence in Boston with Two New Associates


Hinckley Allen is pleased to welcome two associates to its Corporate & Business practice, Rebeccah A. Lilas and Jared L. Shwartz. Based in Boston, they will support the Corporate & Business group, as well as the firm. As Hinckley Allen continues to grow across the Northeast, these associates join a dedicated team of attorneys collaborating across each office and practice area to deliver results to our clients.

Rebeccah A. Lilas

CORPORATE & BUSINESS ASSOCIATE

Rebeccah’s practice focuses on tax law; her practice also includes transactional corporate work securities regulation, finance, and mergers and acquisitions. Rebeccah has performed buy-side and sell-side tax due diligence for private equity and strategic corporate transactions. She is also experienced at preparing legal entity structuring plans and advising clients regarding the implications of tax structuring for complex business transactions, including taxable and tax-free acquisitions and reorganizations. She has spoken at local events about trending topics in taxes and business, including “Corporate Transactions for State Tax Professionals” and “Out at Work.”

An active member in her community, she is a part of the Boston Bar Association, Massachusetts Black Lawyers Association, and Massachusetts LGBTQ Bar Association. Rebeccah earned her J.D. at Boston University School of Law in 2013, where she was an article editor for the Public Interest Law Journal.

Jared L. Shwartz

CORPORATE & BUSINESS ASSOCIATE

Jared advises businesses and on a wide variety of matters, including governance, entity choice and formation, commercial real estate issues, mergers and acquisitions, and related transactions.  In addition to his work in the corporate group, Jared is also a member of the firm’s healthcare group.  In this capacity, he advises medical providers on transactional matters and advises medical clients on certain regulatory issues.

Jared received his J.D. from the Boston University School of Law (2014). While in law school, Jared served as an intern to the Pro Se Law Clerk for the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Massachusetts, and received a Fellowship from Equal Justice America to serve as an intern in the Elder, Health, and Disability Unit of Greater Boston Legal Services. He also participated in the law school’s Health Law Externship Program as an intern to the General Counsel of the Massachusetts Executive Office of Elder Affairs.
