Hinckley Allen today announced that its longtime Chief Financial Officer, Kevin Curvelo, has retired. Mark Mariani, who previously served as Hinckley Allen’s Director of Financial Practice Management, has assumed the role of Chief Financial Officer effective January 1, 2018.

Curvelo’s career at Hinckley Allen spanned nearly three decades. Kevin joined Hinckley Allen in 1988 as a Financial Analyst, a role he held until 1999. After serving as the firm’s Controller for one year, he became Hinckley Allen’s Chief Financial Officer in 2000.

“We congratulate Kevin as he begins this next chapter of his life,” said Charles R. Reppucci, Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer at Hinckley Allen. “Kevin has devoted the majority of his career to Hinckley Allen and we will always be thankful for his many contributions to our firm. During his tenure, he played an instrumental role in the firm’s growth and development.  Kevin leaves a legacy of financial stewardship and discipline that will contribute to our future success for years to come and I’ve greatly appreciated his partnership and friendship. Kevin will be missed and we wish him all the best.

“I am grateful to Hinckley Allen for providing me with a place in which to build a long and meaningful career,” said Curvelo. “I look forward to having more time to spend with my family and fulfilling my personal goals. I am confident that Mark Mariani will serve the firm well as Chief Financial Officer and continue to drive the firm’s history of sustainable profitable growth and create value for all of our clients.”

Mariani has assumed the role of Chief Financial Officer after serving as Hinckley Allen’s Director of Financial Practice Management since 2015. In this role, Mariani gained extensive experience in all aspects of accounting and finance within the firm. Mariani also previously served as Director of Financial Practice Management, and in other accounting roles, at Bingham McCutchen LLP. He is a graduate of the University of Delaware and Suffolk University, where he earned a master’s degree in accounting.
