Hinckley Allen Takes First Place in Mid-Sized Category for Best Places to Work in Rhode Island

Hinckley Allen has been selected as one of the Best Places to Work in Rhode Island by Providence Business News, taking first place in the mid-sized company category (50-149 employees in the region). This is the 10th consecutive year that Hinckley Allen has been named one of the best places to work in Rhode Island and the second time that the firm has been ranked first among mid-sized companies.

“This is a place where people are respected, appreciated, and supported,” said David J. Rubin, Managing Partner at Hinckley Allen. “Helping all our personnel be the best they can be is at the heart of everything we do, from mentorship, to our strong work-life balance, and to the community and pro-bono work we support. We are also committed to maintaining a diverse workplace, which yields a higher level of thinking and decision-making.”

“We have a talented and passionate collection of people who take pride in their work and are driven to do their best,” said Megan McCormack, Director of Human Resources. “We pride ourselves in supporting our staff and our competitive pay and benefits package shows that we are invested in them. It’s the kind of place that people don’t want to leave.”

This award is presented to companies who create a positive environment in which employees are enthusiastic and engaged in their work. The two-step selection process is conducted by Best Companies Group. Companies state-wide are surveyed regarding their workplace management policies. This process is followed by an anonymous employee poll, which asks employees to evaluate how well management acts upon these policies. Enrollment in this year’s Best Places to Work program increased by 22 percent from 2014, with 14 new companies added to the list.

The Best Places to Work program is created by a combined effort from Providence Business News and Best Companies Group.
