Hinckley Allen’s Corporate & Business Group Acquires New Partner, Stephanie J. Baton


Hinckley Allen is pleased to welcome Stephanie J. Baton as a Partner in our Corporate & Business practice. Stephanie joins our Providence office from Nortek, Inc.’s Security & Control Group, where she served as Group Vice President & General Counsel.

“I consider myself fortunate to join such a talented group of attorneys,” said Baton. “I’m excited to be a part of the Corporate & Business Practice and to participate in its continued growth.”

Stephanie worked on Wall Street before entering the legal profession. As an attorney, she represented private equity and corporate clients in acquisitions and divestitures, and advised publicly-traded and private equity companies on SEC reporting compliance.

Most recently, Stephanie served as corporate counsel at Nortek, Inc. She began as Associate Counsel and was then promoted to Vice President and General Counsel of Nortek’s Security & Control Group. She managed legal issues for all aspects of the Group’s operations. As part of the executive leadership team, Stephanie advised on a broad range of issues, including: contracts, commercial transactions, acquisitions and divestitures, intellectual property, litigation, regulatory compliance, corporate governance and labor and employment.
