Lynne Barry Dolan is an experienced business lawyer with her current practice focused on employee benefits and executive compensation. Lynne advises clients on all aspects of employee benefits law in connection with retirement, health and welfare plans. This includes plan implementation, administration and termination, and compliance with ERISA, COBRA, and HIPAA. Lynne is experienced in deferred and incentive compensation, equity and phantom equity plans, Section 409A issues, employment contracts and termination. She handles employee benefits and executive compensation issues arising out of mergers, acquisitions and other corporate transactions. She also represents clients in connection with Internal Revenue Service and Department of Labor audits. Lynne’s clients include both corporations and individuals.
Lynne draws on a diverse legal background. She first worked as a certified public accountant for a multinational accounting firm in Washington, DC. Upon graduating from law school, she moved to Rhode Island where she has practiced law for more than two decades. Lynne began her legal career working in corporate law with Hinckley Allen; she later founded her own boutique law firm focusing on employee benefits and executive compensation for large private and public companies. She also has experience as a civil litigator, representing both plaintiffs and defendants in commercial matters, including executive hiring and termination, ERISA, IRS audits, fiduciary duty, shareholder disputes, estate/family conflicts, unfair trade practices, and employment discrimination.
