Hinckley Allen is pleased to welcome Jeff Groshek as Partner to the Firm’s Tax Group. Jeff is a seasoned tax attorney with over 20 years of experience at both law and accounting firms. Jeff is a graduate of Boston University School of Law, where he earned his L.L.M. in tax law; Marquette University Law School, where he received his J.D.; as well as the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Business, where he earned his B.B.A. in Accounting & Finance. Before embarking on his legal career, Jeff worked as a CPA. His experience includes:
- Representing clients in domestic and international tax structuring, planning, corporate transactions, including real estate, and partnership formations
- Representing taxpayers in controversies with the Internal Revenue Service and state tax authorities
- Advising corporate and private equity clients through the mergers and acquisitions process, including structuring of transactions, consulting on contractual matters, modeling of potential United States federal income tax consequences, tax due diligence, tax planning, and post-transaction implementation
- Representing clients on both the buy-side and sell-side in several hundred taxable and tax-free transactions ranging from $5 million to $6 billion.
