Hinckley Allen represented this developer in connection with a 630,000 sq. ft. shopping center in northern Rhode Island. The work included all aspects of the project including; the acquisition of the numerous parcels of real estate needed for the transaction; due diligence including complex easement issues; negotiation of various ground lease leases for a Super Wal-Mart; a home improvement store; discount department store and other junior anchors and other tenants as well as negotiation of construction contract documentation, and closing of the construction financing and permanent financing. This project also involved two layers of complicated cross-easement documents and issues relating to obtaining water and sewer service from an abutting municipality.
