Hinckley Allen recently represented The Wilton Bank, Connecticut in a recent merger with Bankwell Bank, owned by parent company, Bankwell Financial Group, Inc., a bank holding company headquartered in New Canaan, Connecticut.

The acquisition will add to Bankwell Financial Group approximately $75.1 million in assets, bringing total assets to approximately $700 million and expanding Bankwell Financial Group’s presence in Fairfield County, CT.

Bankwell Bank operates branches in the Fairfield County towns and cities of New Canaan, Fairfield, Stamford and a loan production office in Bridgeport offering a full range of banking services to commercial and consumer customers.
