Hartford County Bar Association: Law Day

In celebration on Law Day, Bill Fish Jr., as a member of the Board of Directors for the Connecticut Supreme Court Historical Society, in conjunction with Judge Kim Knox organized and hosted a celebration in conjunction with the Hartford County Bar Association. The theme was Free Speech, Free Press, Free Society, and focused on these as the cornerstones of representative government and called on attendees to understand and protect these rights.

The event includes:

  • Welcome: Chief Justice Richard A. Robinson, Connecticut Supreme Court
  • Keynote Address: Dr. Robert Post, Sterling Professor of Law, Yale University
  • Remarks: Attorney Wesley W. Horton, President, Connecticut Supreme Court Historical Society
  • Student Presentation and Award: Presented to Matt Laccavole, Trinity College, by Judge Kimberly A. Knox, Chairperson, CT Supreme Court Historical Society’s Law Day Program Committee
  • Lifetime of Public Service Award:  Presented to Attorney Morton Katz, by Christine Perra Rappillo, Chief Public Defender
