John H. Sokul, Jr., partner in the Real Estate and Land Use & Development Groups, will be a featured speaker at the New England Real Estate Journal (NEREJ) Summit, “Southern NH Life Science & Housing 2026.”
The program will explore the intersection of Southern New Hampshire’s expanding biotech sector and mounting housing affordability pressures. As the New Hampshire Life Sciences network advances collaboration and healthcare innovation in 2026, the discussion will address workforce housing for biotech talent, sustainable development, public health impacts, and public-private partnerships supporting balanced regional growth.
During the “Housing Transformation Themes” portion of the discussion, John will focus on New Hampshire House Bill 631, which requires municipalities to allow multifamily residential developments on commercially zoned land where adequate infrastructure is available, or can be provided. He will provide key next steps for developers, investors, and property owners, encouraging them to plan now, position assets, and leverage existing approvals for this new regulatory environment.
