Christine Dieter, a Hinckley Allen partner in the firm’s Environmental and Energy Practice Groups, will deliver opening remarks at an upcoming program hosted by the Rhode Island Society of Environmental Professionals (RISEP). From RISEP:
Hot Topics in Soil Management for Environmental Professionals 2025 is an in-person course updating licensed environmental professionals (LSPs, LEPs, LSRPs, PEs and PGs) on the current status of contaminated soil management in the Northeast (NY, NJ and New England). This course is approved for 4 LSP CEUs and 4 LEP CECs. Lunch will be provided.
This information is essential for the Northeast contaminated soil management situation, which is always in flux due to new analytical soil analysis capabilities emerging and various soil disposal facilities opening/closing. Because contaminated soil management is highly regulated in the Northeastern states, regulatory requirements can change frequently. It is critical that licensed environmental professionals understand these current regulatory requirements, as they are often held responsible for the contaminated soil management from the “Sites” they are supervising.
