Alexander Montgomery Joins Hinckley Allen’s Intellectual Property and Corporate & Business Practices as an Associate


Hinckley Allen is pleased to welcome Alexander Montgomery to the firm’s Boston office as an associate in the Intellectual Property and Corporate & Business groups where he’ll focus on copyright and trademark prosecution and enforcement, as well as licensing and business matters.

Alex joins Hinckley Allen from Dressman Benzinger LaVelle, PSC where he prosecuted multiple trademark applications with the U. S. Patent and Trademark Office, obtained many copyright registrations from the U.S. Copyright Office, worked on numerous licensing transactions, represented clients in proceedings in front of the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, and guided clients in selecting strong trademarks and avoiding claims of copyright and trademark infringement. Alex regularly updates his trademark blog, TantalizingTrademarks.com, where he examines interesting trademark applications recently filed with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

Alex earned his BS, MS and JD at the University of Cincinnati, where he was very active in the local community. While in law school, he interned for the University of Cincinnati’s Intellectual Property office and NCAA Compliance office.
