Hinckley Allen Continues Strategic Growth, Hiring Four New Associates: Kaitlin M. Humble, Monica D. Mohan, Diane E. Rojas, and Sara J. Stankus Join the Firm


Hinckley Allen is pleased to welcome four new associates, all of whom bring a wide range of experiences and insights to our firm. As Hinckley Allen continues to grow strategically across the Northeast, these associates join a dedicated team of attorneys collaborating across each office location and practice area to deliver results to our clients.

Kaitlin M. Humble

CORPORATE & BUSINESS ASSOCIATE

Kaitlin joins our Corporate & Business practice in our Hartford office. Kaitlin was most recently an Associate at Halloran & Sage, LLP. Her practice focuses on a wide variety of Corporate & Business law topics, including corporate finance and taxation, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, securities regulation, bankruptcy and corporate restructuring and commercial real estate transactions.  Kaitlin also has experience litigating and arbitrating commercial disputes, with a particular focus on matters related to intellectual property.  Prior to law school, Kaitlin worked for an international consulting firm, where she supported financial industry professionals in providing expert witness services for litigation, arbitration and mediation matters for corporate clients.

Kaitlin earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Johns Hopkins University and a Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Notre Dame Law School. While at Notre Dame, Kaitlin served as one of several volunteer coaches of the John Adams High School Mock Trial Team, leading them to victory in 2009 and 2011 as national champions. She is also very active in her community, including organizations such as the Main Street Community Foundation, the Stocker Foundation and Southington YMCA.

Monica D. Mohan

CORPORATE & BUSINESS ASSOCIATE

Monica joins our Corporate & Business practice in our Boston office. Her practice will focus on the general areas of Corporate & Business. Monica was previously a senior legal coordinator at Bain & Company, where she managed the firm’s corporate governance and supported the firm’s global counsel on a wide variety of legal matters. Her strong background in law, including her time as a Summer Associate at Hinckley Allen, is complemented by her business degree, professional experience in marketing and communications and entrepreneurial spirit stemming from her own gourmet food business. Monica earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Bentley University. She graduated from Suffolk University with a Master of Business Administration from the Sawyer School of Management and, most recently, with her Juris Doctor from the School of Law. While at Suffolk, Monica was an active member of the Business Law Association as well as the Transnational Law Review. She also participated in the Suffolk University Accelerator to Practice Clinic, where she helped clients on a variety of matters related to housing discrimination.

Diane E. Rojas

REAL ESTATE ASSOCIATE

An addition to our Real Estate practice group in the Hartford office, Diane’s practice will focus on all aspects of commercial real estate law. Graduating with honors from the University of Connecticut School of Law, Diane was the Editor in Chief of the Connecticut Insurance Law Journal and participated in mediation and transactional clinics. In addition to her time as a Summer Associate with Hinckley Allen, Diane previously worked as a legal intern for the Connecticut Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities, where she researched legal issues for disability, race, national origin, sex, age, and housing discrimination cases, among other responsibilities.

As a dedicated member of her local community, Diane held leadership positions in several law school organizations, including the Latino Law Student Association and the Corporate and Securities Law Society. Diane is also a member of DRI, the leading organization of civil defense attorneys and in-house counsel, and was one of two law students selected nationally to receive its 2016 Diversity Scholarship.

Sara J. Stankus

LITIGATION ASSOCIATE

Sara joins our Litigation practice group in our Hartford office. Most recently, Sara was a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Julie A. Manning, Chief Bankruptcy Judge at the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Connecticut. Prior to that, she was a Litigation Associate at Winget, Spadafora & Schwartzberg, LLP. Sara has significant experience representing professionals and fiduciaries in state and federal courts, as well as in FINRA arbitration, with an emphasis on the representation of the financial services industry, including broker-dealers, registered representatives, investment advisors and insurance brokers. Additionally, Sara has experience in the areas of labor and employment, foreclosure and complex litigation involving attorneys and design professionals.

Sara earned a Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, from Providence College. In 2013, she graduated from the University of Connecticut School of Law, where she earned her Juris Doctor and served as a member and symposium editor of the Connecticut Law Review.
