Hinckley Allen Names RISE as 2024 Social Justice Partner

Hinckley Allen proudly announces Rhode Islanders Sponsoring Education (RISE) as the recipient of its 2024 Social Justice Partner grant from the Social Justice Fund. This marks the firm’s second Partnership Program, aimed at providing financial as well as non-financial support to non-profit organizations dedicated to advancing social justice and racial equity within our communities.

Established in 2021 with the Rhode Island Foundation, the Social Justice Partnership Program underlines Hinckley Allen’s commitment to supporting organizations with a proven mission of furthering social justice and racial equity. Recipients of the Social Justice Fund grant benefit from financial assistance, coupled with ongoing support from the firm to advance their organizational mission.

“We aim to strengthen our community impact by providing not only financial resources but also hands-on support through collaborations with our Social Justice Partners. Our objective is to forge strong ties with RISE and utilize the firm’s resources to bolster their initiatives,” expressed Noble F. Allen, Partner and Chair of the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee.

RISE serves a crucial role in supporting children with incarcerated parents, a population often overlooked. Through scholarships and mentoring, RISE aims to break the intergenerational cycle of poverty, crime, and addiction.

Kaitlin Della Grotta, Executive Director of RISE, expressed gratitude for the grant, stating, “We will use the grant funding to support 108 highly at-risk children with incarcerated parents. They will receive 1:1 mentoring, textbooks, uniforms, breakfast, lunch, bus passes, special group events, SAT prep, and more. Our students go on to do great things, and we are proud to have a 100% high school graduation rate.”

The Fund allows the firm to make impactful gifts and contribute to racial equity and social justice in our communities and our industry. Hinckley Allen remains committed to making a difference with its deep roots in Rhode Island since its founding in 1906.
