Hinckley Allen Partner Kathleen Mahan Appointed Chair of New Hampshire MCLE Board

Hinckley Allen is proud to announce that Partner Kathleen M. Mahan has been appointed Chair of the New Hampshire Minimum Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) Board, a leadership role that reflects her longstanding commitment to advancing the legal profession and supporting attorneys across the Granite State.

As Chair of the MCLE Board, she will help oversee the administration of New Hampshire’s continuing legal education requirements, ensuring attorneys maintain access to high-quality educational programming and remain current on developments in the law and legal ethics.

“I’ve always believed that one of the most important responsibilities we have as attorneys is to continue learning and supporting one another throughout our careers,” said Kate. “The MCLE Board plays an important role in helping attorneys stay informed, engaged, and equipped to serve their clients and communities effectively. I’m honored to take on this role and continue giving back to New Hampshire’s legal community in a meaningful way.”

Established by the New Hampshire Supreme Court, the MCLE Board plays a critical role in regulating and administering the state’s continuing legal education system for licensed attorneys. The Board reviews and accredits educational programming, oversees compliance with annual CLE requirements, and helps promote ongoing professional development within the legal community.

Kate’s appointment follows her tenure as president of the New Hampshire Bar Association, where she focused on strengthening the legal community and expanding practical resources and professional support for attorneys throughout the state. She was the first woman in a decade to serve in the role. She also serves on the Federal Court Advisory Committee for the District of New Hampshire and is a trustee of the New Hampshire Supreme Court Society.

A Litigation Partner in Hinckley Allen’s Manchester office, Kate has been frequently recognized as one of New Hampshire’s leading business litigators and intellectual property attorneys. She represents clients in complex business disputes involving organizational restructuring, corporate governance, trade secrets, non-compete conflicts, and professional licensing matters.
