Francesca Papia is an associate in Hinckley Allen’s Litigation Group, where she advises and defends employers in matters involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, whistleblower claims, and wage-and-hour issues. She represents clients from pre-suit investigations through trial and appeal, appearing in state and federal courts and before the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination.
Before joining Hinckley Allen, Francesca defended municipalities, public officials, and private employers in employment and complex civil rights litigation. Her experience includes second-chair jury trials resulting in multiple defense verdicts, dispositive motion practice, and appellate advocacy before the Massachusetts Appeals Court and U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. Earlier in her career, Francesca represented employees in individual and class-action wage-and-hour matters under Massachusetts and federal law. That experience gives her additional perspective on compliance exposure and case strategy when advising employers in sensitive employment matters.
