And The Defense Wins

Synopsis of article:

Michael McCormack successfully defended an appeal before the Connecticut Appellate Court in the matter of Piteo v. Gottier et al., 112 Conn. App., 441, 963 A.2d 83.

Plaintiff alleged that defendants, a financial advisor and securities brokerage firm, were liable to him for breaching their fiduciary duties by closing and transferring plaintiff’s IRA without consent and in a financially imprudent manner.

Connecticut Superior Court entered summary judgement in favor of the defendants after finding that the claims were barred by the applicable statute of limitations.
