Massachusetts Changes In Its Criminal Offender Record Information Law


The Commonwealth amended its Criminal Offender Records Information Law (CORI), Chapter 256 of the Acts of 2010 (August 6, 2010). This amendment has significant impact on Employment Applications, Employee Interviewing, and Hiring and Post-Hiring Decision Making. Mandated restrictions on heretofore permissible criminal inquiries on application forms became effective November 4, 2010. Non-compliant application forms need to be revised immediately.(more)
