Public Records Requests… A Valuable Asset


The first column on Massachusetts public record laws appeared in Construction Outlook in November 1993. During the ensuing sixteen years, we have published four updates (the last of which was four years ago) continuing to emphasize the benefits of this important statutory system for obtaining public records. Today, it is still important and has evolved into a valuable tool for contractors (or anyone) seeking to find out the underlying positions and rationale of awarding authorities in issues which may arise on any public project, including those related to construction.
