National Defense Industrial Association: 9th Annual New England Cyber Event

Date: April 29, 2026
Time: 7:30 am

B. Stephanie Siegmann, partner, chair of the Cybersecurity, Privacy & Data Protection and International Trade & National Security Groups, co-chair of the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Practice, and a member of the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) New England Chapter Board of Directors, will be a featured speaker at NDIA’s 9th Annual New England Cyber Event.

This signature day-long program is dedicated to advancing the conversation around cybersecurity and compliance within the Defense Industrial Base. This year’s theme, “Implementing and Operationalizing CMMC,” reflects the critical moment facing organizations across the defense sector as CMMC moves into full effect. As companies navigate the path toward certification and long-term operationalization, the need for practical, actionable strategies has never been greater. The event’s agenda brings together leading experts to address the technical, operational, and financial dimensions of CMMC, offering attendees valuable insights and guidance to meet the challenges ahead.

Stephanie will lead an Executive Breakout Session, “Legal Consequences of CMMC,” exploring the legal implications of CMMC for defense contractors, including contractual obligations, cybersecurity verifications, certification representations, and enforcement risk. She will offer insight into how CMMC affects bid eligibility, subcontractor flow-down requirements, and exposure under the False Claims Act.
