Hinckley Allen Named as an A-list Firm for Associate Satisfaction and Top Firm Where Women Associates Can Grow

Hinckley Allen has been recognized by a new national survey as a law firm where women associates have the best opportunity to grow within their firm. BTI Consulting Group conducted a significant survey at Am Law 200, global, mid-size, and smaller law firms to discover the drivers of associate retention and job satisfaction. As one of the BTI Associate Satisfaction A-Listers 2022, Hinckley Allen is proud to be among this distinguished group.

Creating a diverse, flexible, and collaborative work environment is a priority for the firm, and we are pleased to also be acknowledged as a top firm where women associates can grow. Since 2016, 50% of new attorneys have been women and currently 60% of associates are women. With respect to advancement, 50% of the partners elevated in 2021 were women. Being recognized in this fashion illustrates the firm’s commitment to increasing opportunities for associates and women in law. Hinckley Allen is also currently participating in the Mansfield Rule program, which is focused on increasing representation of historically underrepresented lawyers in law firm leadership.

Additionally, as women associates develop and advance in their careers at Hinckley Allen, they are supported by the Women’s Forum, a program designed by women attorneys for women attorneys to foster engagement and promote success at the firm. Michelle Peirce, Litigation Partner, and Meaghan Krupa, Corporate Associate, co-chairs of the Women’s Forum, appreciate this distinction for the firm, and Krupa says, “Working with Michelle on the Women’s Forum has been a wonderful experience. The Forum serves as a way to foster growth for women in the firm and connect new associates with colleagues and mentors. As an associate at Hinckley Allen, I am excited by the career advancement opportunities supported by the firm and encouraged by my colleagues.”

From March 2021 to March 2022, BTI Consulting Group conducted 189 in-depth, open-ended telephone interviews and received more than 4,000 individual online responses. All responses and comments are confidential and anonymous, and law firms may not submit, self-refer, suggest, or pay for recognition. Learn more about this survey and results here.
