Hinckley Allen Partner William W. Bouton III Named “Lawyer of the Year” in Corporate Law by Best Lawyers


William W. Bouton III, a partner at Hinckley Allen, was named the Best Lawyers® 2016 Corporate Law “Lawyer of the Year” in Hartford, CT. 

As chair of the Firm’s Corporate and Business Law Group, Bill’s practice is focused on corporate and business law matters, with particular emphasis in the financial institutions industry. He has extensive experience handling mergers and acquisitions, securities law issues, and corporate governance matters and operational issues including privacy and exam related issues. Bill serves as outside general counsel to a wide range of public and private business concerns in multiple industries, where he is actively involved in providing legal advice, transactional representation, generational transfers and strategic planning. His financial service experience includes directing an almost $2 billion mutual-to-stock IPO/double merger transaction, as well as numerous other conversions, mergers, and de novo formations. Bill regularly represents issuers and investment banks in public offerings and private placements, and public companies with 1934 Act compliance issues. In addition, he routinely lectures at corporate retreats and industry group settings.
