Hinckley Allen’s commitment to employee health and wellness was recognized for the 19th year in a row with an Exemplary Worksite Health Award from Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island (BCBSRI) and the Greater Providence Chamber of Commerce (the Chamber) for effective programs encouraging employee health and well-being in a meaningful way. The Worksite Health Awards are an opportunity for employers to learn from best practices while showcasing the advances being made every day to improve the health and well-being of Rhode Islanders at work.
“Hinckley Allen is proud to be recognized for our efforts that contribute to the mental, emotional, and physical health of our employees. Embedded in the culture at the firm is a deep commitment to the well-being and wellness of our attorneys and staff. It makes Hinckley Allen a great place to work and also supports our efforts to recruit and retain top talent to provide superior client service,” said Patrick A. Rogers, Managing Partner at Hinckley Allen.
In this year’s 28th annual awards, companies were recognized for their support of employees’ physical and emotional well-being. Hinckley Allen is dedicated to providing programming and assistance to employees across a variety of wellness areas, including, mental health, financial health, healthy eating habits, and stress management. In particular, the firm participated in the 3rd annual Wellness Week which is an industry-wide initiative to raise awareness and promote health and wellness in the legal profession. The firm hosted a week of activities and provided resources designed to help attorneys and staff enhance their emotional, spiritual, and physical health. Activities included firm-wide sleep and step challenges, a game break with colleagues, and a weekend technology blackout.
Because the nature of the workplace has changed dramatically over the last several years, there continues to be a heightened priority on connecting with employees through new and innovative wellness offerings. Hinckley Allen was one of more than 30 Rhode Island-based businesses honored by BCBSRI and the Chamber in recognition of their continued efforts to advance employee wellness and build a healthier Rhode Island. Since 1995, the awards have recognized businesses of all sizes headquartered in Rhode Island that demonstrate exceptional health and wellness programs and health-oriented workplace policies.
