Stephen J. Holmes Named a Go To Intellectual Property Lawyer by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly


Hinckley Allen is proud to announce that Stephen J. Holmes has been named a “Go To Intellectual Property Lawyer” by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly. Steve is a partner in the Corporate and Business Group. 

Steve’s 30 years of experience counseling all types of clients from small start-ups to large corporations in every area of Intellectual Property has given him a unique perspective and insight to providing real world guidance and solutions for clients working to bring their products to market. Steve can quickly evaluate both the technological and legal issues facing clients in research and development and is well versed in a wide variety of technical areas.

Steve has a background in mechanical engineering and concentrates his practice in the areas of patent and trademark prosecution, counseling clients ranging in size from sole proprietorships to Fortune 500 corporations, but also has significant litigation experience providing critical support for litigation counsel during fact and expert discovery, Markman hearings and trial. He also has experience with post grant proceedings including reissue applications, Inter Partes Reexaminations, and interferences. He has helped build and maintain trademark portfolios both domestically and internationally for several Fortune 500 companies, and actively assists current clients in protection of their brands through a variety of legal procedures.
