Doris’ practice includes all aspects of trusts and estates, advising clients with respect to minimizing current taxes as well as death transfer taxes, facilitating transfer of wealth between generations, and controlling and protecting assets through the use of trusts and other devices. She has developed sophisticated plans to minimize the impact of transfer taxes, to freeze asset values, and to provide for orderly dispositions of business interests and has also designed on-going intra-family gift programs and planned appropriate formats for charitable giving. Doris is also directly involved with estate administration representing both individual and corporate executors and trustees on probate matters, estate taxation matters, and trust income tax issues. She has considerable experience handling guardianship and conservatorship cases before probate courts.
