VIRTUAL EVENT: EBC 3rd Annual Rhode Island Offshore Wind Conference

Date:
Time: to

Join Partner Christine E. Dieter as she co-chairs the Environmental Business Council of New England’s 3rd Annual Rhode Island Offshore Wind Conference: Partnering for the Future of Offshore Wind in Rhode Island. From the EBC:

The third annual EBC Rhode Island Offshore Wind Conference will explore what comes next for offshore wind in Rhode Island. The Conference will feature Senator Whitehouse discussing the latest legislative developments and port infrastructure investments that will help move Rhode Island’s green economy forward. Senator Whitehouse has introduced a bill called the Reinvesting in Shoreline Economies and Ecosystems (RISEE) Act, which could play a pivotal role in directing how the U.S. funds coastal resilience by ensuring federal leasing revenue from offshore wind production is used to build coastal resilience in the states and communities closest to that offshore wind production. Whitehouse also created the National Oceans and Coastal Security Fund as a “sister-fund” to the more inland-focused, Land and Water Conservation Fund.

The Conference also will offer a unique roundtable format to give voice to the many stakeholders actively engaged in this burgeoning industry.
