Hinckley Allen today announced that three new attorneys will be joining the Firm’s Litigation group, building on Hinckley Allen’s strong ties to New England.
Rebecca F. Briggs (Counsel) has prosecuted and defended matters involving commercial contracts across a variety of industries, as well as various intellectual property issues including patent, trade secret, unfair competition, copyright, and trademark and trade dress disputes. She has experience in all phases of litigation including initial investigation, motion practice, discovery, summary judgment, trial, and appeals. She practices in federal and state courts. She rejoins Hinckley Allen after some time working in-house at a large health care company, which provides Becca with unique insight into practical business concerns.
Elizabeth R. Farrenkopf (Associate) is a graduate of Boston College with a B.A. in International Studies and received her J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law. Prior to joining Hinckley Allen, she was an Attorney Fellow at Northeastern University Office of the General Counsel. In this role, she focused on litigation and dispute management, labor and employment, data privacy, student affairs, athletics, and general higher education law.
Rita E. Nerney (Associate) is a graduate of Roger Williams University School of Law. She has represented clients in various civil litigation cases before state and federal courts, as well as administrative agencies, including education, medical malpractice, personal injury, employment discrimination, and family law matters. She has participated in settlement negotiations, defended depositions, engaged in motion practice, and attended numerous court hearings.
