Elizabeth R. Farrenkopf

AssociateBoston

Elizabeth R. Farrenkopf is a litigator and counselor whose practice spans employment law, white collar criminal defense, and government investigations. She counsels institutions, businesses, and individuals in sensitive employment matters, internal investigations, and government enforcement proceedings.

In her work as a labor & employment attorney, Elizabeth regularly advises colleges and universities, corporations,  academic medical centers, and health systems. Elizabeth handles highly sensitive and consequential matters, including investigations and litigation surrounding employment discrimination matters, harassment, and Title IX. She also counsels these clients on daily employment matters involving all stages of the employment relationship. Elizabeth has particularly relevant experience gathered from a Secondment in the general counsel’s office of an Ivy League university, and while working as an Attorney Fellow in the Office of the General Counsel at Northeastern University. This firsthand experience inside sophisticated universities is foundational to her unique understanding of the legal, operational, and reputational pressures institutions face.

As a white collar and government investigations advisor, Elizabeth represents individuals and businesses facing government scrutiny at both the state and federal levels. Her experience includes defending allegations of fraud, scientific misconduct, false claims, violation of the Anti-Kickback statutes and other high stakes scenarios.

Across her entire practice, Elizabeth is known for a collaborative, detail-oriented, and supportive style. She deeply values working closely with clients to understand their specific circumstances so that she may build effective strategies that account for both their immediate legal issues and the broader consequences of reputational risk. Elizabeth’s clients value her candid approach and strong commitment to helping them through demanding situations with care and precision.
