About

Becca practices in all areas of litigation with a concentration on complex commercial litigation, intellectual property disputes, and government investigations and white collar criminal defense.  She regularly prosecutes and defends suits involving commercial contracts as well as various intellectual property concerns including trade secrets, patents, and trademarks and trade dress.  She has experience in all phases of litigation including initial investigation, dismissal, discovery, mediation, summary judgment, and trial.  Becca has managed defensive discovery in complex securities actions, drafted and argued motions in federal and state courts, and conducted numerous criminal bench trials during her fellowship as an Assistant Public Defender.  Her background as an Assistant Public Defender further provides Becca with unique insight into government investigations and white collar criminal defense.

Recently, Becca was part of a team that obtained summary judgment for a lottery equipment manufacturer in a multi-million dollar breach of contract claim. She also obtained a Rhode Island Supreme Court opinion affirming summary judgment for a casino regarding a challenge to the constitutionality of a statute that authorized table games at the casino.  Additionally, she was part of a two-person team that swiftly resolved a case for a fast-growing company involving allegations of breach of non-competition covenants and trade secret theft against former employees.
