Tracy Beckham Phipps

Tracy Phipps is a civil litigator focusing on product liability, premises liability, and toxic tort defense, concentrating on asbestos-related defense. Tracy serves as regional counsel for product manufacturers and distributors, premises owners, and their insurers throughout Illinois and Missouri. She also represents corporate clients and small business owners, helping them navigate the complexities of asbestos and product liability litigation. Tracy’s experience also includes defending businesses and insurers in workers’ compensation matters.

Tracy has successfully defended thousands of cases throughout Illinois and Missouri. She is perhaps best known for her extensive work in lawsuits filed in the Illinois counties of Madison, St. Clair, McLean, and Cook and matters in St. Louis and Jackson Counties in Missouri.

Clients appreciate Tracy’s personalized attention, which helps them understand the potentially overwhelming litigation process. She is very responsive and communicative, keeping clients apprised of case status and outlining realistic and reliable assessments of each case while being especially mindful of economic concerns. Tracy continually strives to find new and innovative ways to most effectively and efficiently reach the best possible outcomes for clients.

In addition to her robust legal practice, Tracy is deeply committed to the advancement of women in the legal profession. She mentors, advises, and supports women attorneys in their pursuit of satisfying and successful careers.

Before joining Hinckley Allen, Tracy was a shareholder in the St. Louis office of a full-service, multi-office law firm and was also a partner in a mid-sized, regional law firm in St. Louis, Missouri. She began her career as an associate handling workers’ compensation defense at a mid-sized law firm.
