What To Watch In Mass. Courts In The 2nd Half Of 2023


B. Stephanie Siegmann shares her perspective on one of the cases to watch in Massachusetts courts in the 2nd half of 2023. In the case of Jack Teixeira she notes:

“Obstruction crimes provide a very powerful tool for prosecutors as they are easy for juries to understand and show that a defendant understands the wrongfulness of his behavior and took actions to conceal his illegal conduct,” Siegmann said. “I further expect that discovery will take months to complete, and the government is likely still reviewing evidence obtained pursuant to the search warrants, so they could bring other charges in addition to obstruction.”
