Hinckley Allen is pleased to announce that Partner B. Stephanie Siegmann has been named a 2026 Go To Lawyer for Cybersecurity & Data Privacy by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly for the third time, recognizing her leadership at the intersection of cybersecurity, data privacy, artificial intelligence, and national security.
Stephanie serves as Chair of the firm’s Cybersecurity, Privacy & Data Protection and International Trade & National Security Groups and as Co-Chair of the Artificial Intelligence Practice. She advises organizations across a wide range of industries on high-stakes cybersecurity incidents, ransomware attacks, data breaches, insider threats, regulatory compliance, and emerging technology risks. Drawing on more than two decades of public service and private practice experience, Stephanie helps clients navigate complex legal, operational, and reputational challenges while developing proactive strategies to strengthen resilience and manage risk.
A recognized leader in cybersecurity law, Stephanie has earned a reputation as the attorney clients and fellow lawyers turn to when matters are particularly complex, novel, or high-risk. As cyber threats become increasingly intertwined with artificial intelligence, privacy regulation, and national security concerns, she remains at the forefront of helping organizations address emerging risks while balancing innovation, compliance, and business objectives. Her recent work has included leading responses to major ransomware attacks and data breaches, advising organizations on AI governance and compliance, conducting sensitive internal investigations, and helping clients navigate sophisticated cyber-enabled fraud and national security-related matters.
Beyond her client work, Stephanie is a sought-after voice on cybersecurity, privacy, artificial intelligence, and national security issues. She regularly speaks at leading legal and industry conferences, teaches in Boston College Law School’s Master of Legal Studies in Cybersecurity, Risk and Governance program, and contributes to discussions on emerging cyber threats, AI regulation, and evolving enforcement priorities. Her leadership has helped shape conversations around some of the most pressing legal and business challenges facing organizations today.
“Throughout my career, whether as a federal prosecutor or in private practice, I have been motivated by helping people and organizations navigate difficult situations and protect themselves from evolving threats,” said Stephanie. “I am grateful for the trust my clients place in me and honored to receive this recognition.”
Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly’s Go To Lawyers distinction recognizes attorneys who are leaders in their field and are relied upon by clients and fellow professionals to handle complex legal matters. Honorees are selected based on their expertise, accomplishments, and reputation as trusted advisors whose work has had a significant impact on their practice area.
