Andrea Gomes is a partner in the firm’s Real Estate Group, practicing in the areas of land use, environmental, and municipal law. Andrea regularly represents clients before local and state agencies and in state court. She has assisted with obtaining municipal approvals for clients, including site plan, special permit, variance, subdivision and wetlands approvals; in prosecuting or defending administrative appeals; and in litigating various matters, including affordable housing matters and property disputes such as quiet title actions, easement disputes, nuisance actions and actions for adverse possession. Additionally, she has counseled municipal agencies with various land use permitting and litigation matters, including public bidding disputes, eminent domain actions, and Freedom of Information Act issues.
Andrea’s environmental work encompasses environmental clean-up and cost recovery actions and representation of large shipping companies and their insurers in marine casualty events, including oil spill response and natural resource damage assessments and restoration matters.
While attending the University of Connecticut School of Law, Andrea served as the Executive Director of the Connecticut Moot Court Board.
Andrea is also fluent in Portuguese.
