Antonino (Tony) Leone is a seasoned construction attorney whose practice focuses on construction litigation, contract drafting, and negotiation. He brings extensive experience representing public and private owners, developers, designers, general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and other construction industry clients across a broad range of vertical building projects and complex road, highway, and bridge infrastructure projects. Tony counsels clients through all phases of the construction lifecycle—from initial contract drafting and negotiation through project close-out and claims resolution. He has successfully handled a wide range of disputes involving bidding challenges, payment disputes, schedule delays, performance deficiencies, contract terminations, surety bond claims, and mechanic’s lien enforcement and defense.
In addition to his construction practice, Tony regularly represents and counsels clients in diverse business and commercial matters, including corporate formation and financing, contract drafting and negotiation, and employment issues. He advises and represents clients in both tort and contract claims and has litigated complex disputes in state and federal courts, as well as in arbitration proceedings.
Tony brings a distinctive technical perspective to his legal practice. Prior to becoming an attorney, he worked as a licensed professional structural engineer responsible for the design and analysis of structural systems and components, and the preparation of contract plans and specifications for highway bridges and commercial, industrial, and residential building projects ranging from $1 million to $350 million. This engineering background enables him to analyze complex technical issues, interpret construction documents, and communicate effectively with design and construction professionals. He currently maintains his registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of Connecticut.
