Matthew P. Bertelli is an associate in Hinckley Allen’s Corporate & Business Transactions Group. He helps clients structure and execute corporate transactions while addressing the securities, tax, financial, regulatory, and governance considerations that shape them. His experience includes securities offerings, investment management, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, commercial contracts, real estate, financing, and regulatory compliance. Matthew draws on his background in corporate law, securities regulation, accounting, and finance to assess both the legal and business issues in each transaction and deliver practical, efficient counsel to support clients’ broader objectives.
Before joining Hinckley Allen, Matthew practiced at regional and international law firms. He has advised businesses and individuals on corporate transactions and governance matters and counseled asset managers, operating companies, registered investment companies, investment advisers, and their boards of directors on federal and state securities laws, regulatory filings, exemptive relief, compliance, and commercial contracts. Earlier in his career, he worked in financial accounting and consulting, which sharpened his understanding of the financial and economic considerations that shape corporate transactions.
