On July 19, 2023, attorney Janelle Pelli will moderate an esteemed panel of federal court judges and practitioners for the Northern District of New York Federal Court Bar Association’s CLE on Cross Examination and Closing Statements. This virtual panel will cover topics such as the “Do’s and Don’ts” of cross-examination, impeachment techniques, and tip for effective closing arguments. From the NDNY-FCBA.
This CLE will present an overview of the “Do’s and Don’ts” of cross-examination, including the boundaries of cross-examination and how to properly impeach a witness. The panel will also discuss what limitations are placed on closing arguments by existing case law and how to apply the jury instructions to the facts of your case in closing arguments.
