Hinckley Allen’s recognition in the 2027 edition of Best Law Firms reflects the firm’s continued strength in established practice areas, including Construction and Litigation, alongside growing recognition in Intellectual Property and Land Use and Zoning Law. The firm earned 108 national and regional rankings, an increase of eight over last year, with new and improved rankings across several practices and markets.
Construction Law and Litigation – Construction maintained its National Tier 1 rankings, with both practices also earning Tier 1 recognition across multiple regional markets. Commercial Litigation continued to receive broad recognition, with rankings nationally and in six regional markets, including Tier 1 distinctions in Albany, Boston, Hartford, Manchester, and Rhode Island
Hinckley Allen’s Intellectual Property rankings expanded, with new recognition across Trademark, Patent, and Copyright Law. Trademark Law earned rankings nationally and in Boston, while Patent Law added Boston and Rhode Island rankings, including a Tier 1 distinction in Rhode Island. Copyright Law also received a new ranking in Boston.
Land Use and Zoning Law also expanded its recognition with a new National Tier 2 ranking and a new Regional Tier 1 ranking in Boston. The practice advanced to Tier 1 in Hartford and Rhode Island, bringing its recognition to four regional markets and the national level.
Together, these developments contributed to 14 new rankings and 12 improved regional rankings, including 10 that advanced to Tier 1. The firm now holds 66 Regional Tier 1 rankings, up from 58 in 2026, along with three National Tier 1 rankings. In total, Hinckley Allen received 12 national and 96 regional rankings in the 2027 edition.
