Charles R. McGonigal is an Associate in the Firm’s Corporate & Business group. He represents and advises clients in the tax aspects of a variety of private equity and M&A transactions, including fund formation and advisement on investment structuring.

Charles earned his J.D. from Harvard Law School, where he was a senior technical editor of the Harvard Law & Policy Review and vice president of TaxHelp. In addition, he clerked for the Hon. Irma Raker at the Supreme Court of Maryland and interned for the Council of Europe and Centre for Law & Democracy. Prior to law school, Charles created database products for clients, including the United States Army, Google and the New York Stock Exchange, providing financial and logistical technology solutions.

  • Represent and advise worldwide funds in secondary transactions ranging up to over 100 interests worth over $1 billion.
