This affiliation integrated 2,500 Milford Regional employees into UMass Memorial Health’s system, expanding the nonprofit healthcare network to over 20,000 caregivers in Central Massachusetts. Hinckley Allen, working with Milford Regional and its investment bankers, structured the affiliation to integrate Milford Regional into UMass Memorial Health’s nonprofit system while maintaining its local board of trustees and securing representation on UMass Memorial Health’s parent board.  Additionally, the affiliation preserved Milford Regional’s clinical relationships with major academic medical centers, such as Dana-Farber and Boston Children’s Hospital.
