Representative Matters

• Represented a company accused of breach of contract. The case was tried to a jury, and the jury rendered a verdict in favor of the client on all counts after a weeks-long jury trial.
• Represented a construction company accused of a Lanham Action violation. Prior to trial, the court entered summary judgment on all counts in favor of the client.
• Represented a manufacturer of medical devices accused of patent infringement, copyright infringement, and trade secret misappropriation. Successfully disposed of the copyright claims pre-trial and prevailed on the patent infringement claims mid-trial. The remaining trade secret claims were tried to a jury, resulting in a favorable outcome.
• Represented a manufacturer of exercise equipment accused of utility and design patent infringement, copyright infringement and alter ego liability. The matter settled after jury empanelment.
• Represented a manufacturer of consumer products in a patent infringement case. The case resolved after a favorable Markman decision issued.
• Represented a designer and manufacturer of jewelry accused of patent infringement. The case settled favorably to the client after the Markman construction issued.
• Represented heirs in a copyright dispute concerning the Game of Life. The case was tried as a bench trial, a favorable decision issued, and the matter was affirmed on appeal.
• Represented a video company accused of trade secret misappropriation and violation of ch. 93A. Prior to trial, the court entered summary judgment on all counts.
• Represented a manufacturer of products sold to the military in a dispute involving tortious interference with contractual and advantageous relations and business defamation. The matter was tried to a jury.
• Represented a construction company suing for breach of contract relating to construction delays in the construction of a hotel in downtown Providence. The case was tried as a bench trial and the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit affirmed the decision.
