Laura B. Angelini Named one of the Top Women Lawyers for 2022

Hinckley Allen is proud to announce that Laura B. Angelini has been named one of the Top Women of Law for 2022 by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly. This award celebrates the achievements of exceptional women lawyers who are pioneers, educators, trailblazers, and role models. Laura continues her family legacy of legal excellence with this award. “My late father, Greg Angelini, was a solo practitioner and one of the hardest working lawyers I have ever met.  My uncle, Michael Angelini, is a renowned trial attorney and mentor who played a large role in shaping my legal career. I have always had the utmost respect for the law and the women and men with whom I have had the honor to practice.

As a leader at Hinckley Allen, Laura is a partner in Litigation and the chair of the firm’s Sexual Misconduct and Workplace Harassment practice group, as well as vice-chair of the Research Misconduct and Integrity practice group. She also participates in the firm’s Women’s Forum which was established to help the firm’s women lawyers build professional and personal relationships, as well as exchange views and information on the issues of today that impact their lives. The ultimate objective of the Women’s Forum is to promote the recruiting, development, retention, and advancement of our women lawyers. “My goal is to foster an environment at our firm — and within the greater legal community — that allows lawyers of all different ages and backgrounds to succeed. As someone who has built a career while having children and significant family commitments, I understand how challenging it can be to excel within the legal community while also having other obligations. It is critical for our younger, up and coming colleagues to know that they will be supported in their path to success — whatever that path may be. I attempt to bring this attitude and perspective to every engagement that I lead, and I try to communicate this message to my colleagues and support them in their individual paths to success.”

Outside of the firm, Laura is active in her community and a committed volunteer. Serving as an attorney on pro bono cases, she provides quality legal advice to families and children who find themselves in jeopardy. Additionally, Laura is on the board of the Boston chapter of the American Heart Association. “The American Heart Association’s mission is equitable health for all. I am proud to work with them on their journey to commit to advancing health equity and removing barriers to health through work in communities, scientific research, advocating for healthy policies and more.” Laura is also a member of the American Stroke Association.

Please join us in congratulating Laura on this significant accomplishment. Laura will be honored at the annual event hosted by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly in November, and you can view the full list of honorees here.
