William W. Bouton III
In Memoriam: (1953-2019)
We mourn the passing of our long-time partner and friend, Bill Bouton. Bill was a nationally-renowned banking lawyer, a leader of the Connecticut bar, a brilliant strategist, a mentor to many, a tenacious advocate, and a wise and trusted counselor.
Bill graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University and the University of Connecticut School of Law. He practiced law with Tyler Cooper & Alcorn and its predecessor firm, Alcorn, Bakewell & Smith, from 1980 to 2008, and with Hinckley Allen from 2008 to 2019. His practice ranged from leading clients through extraordinarily large and complex corporate transactions to counseling family businesses on matters large and small.
Bill was a talented and passionate athlete who excelled in a number of sports, most notably soccer, which he played at Ohio Wesleyan. He was a proud, loving and devoted father and grandfather, and a generous and caring friend. We were blessed to have known him and we are proud to have had him as a partner.
