Video: Navigating Harassment Investigations in Federally Funded Research Environments


A hostile work environment refers generally to a workplace that is saddled with inappropriate or disrespectful behaviors. This can include bullying, pervasive discrimination against a protected group, abuses of power, gender, or sex-based harassment. When it comes to workplace environment claims, there can be legal liability and a civil lawsuit could be brought to expose an employer for not having prevented this hostile work environment.
