Hinckley Allen Partners Joel Lewin and Christopher W. Morog Named BTI Client Service All-Stars

Partners Joel Lewin and Christopher W. Morog were two of only 16 Construction attorneys named 2021 Client Service All-Stars by the BTI Consulting Group, Inc. The pair are among a select group of attorneys recognized for their exceptional client service by leaders in the legal industry. BTI independently chooses lawyers for All-Star recognition based on interviews with more than 350 legal decision-makers from the nation’s largest companies.

Joel is co-chair of Hinckley Allen’s Construction group. His practice concentrates on heavy civil projects including tunnels, bridges, highways, and wastewater-treatment plants, as well as office buildings, shopping centers, power plants, hospitals, schools, courthouses, airports, and marine projects. Since 1990, Joel has been the firm’s team leader in representing the general contractors performing most of the construction of the “Big Dig” in Boston. He also serves on Hinckley Allen’s Executive Committee.

Joel had this to say about how he views client service:

“First, learn as much as you can about your client’s business. To secure a client relationship of trust and confidence, I listen carefully to each client and ask questions so that I can understand their business, their goals, and their needs. Above all, it’s important to be available to your client, responsive to their queries, and to communicate your advice clearly and confidently.”

Chris is also a member of Hinckley Allen’s Construction group. His practice deals primarily in the areas of construction law and litigation, private projects and public procurement, general litigation, government investigations including white collar defense, OSHA, Department of Labor and prevailing wage investigations. He regularly advises clients on State and Federal procurement issues, small business and MBE/WBE/DBE compliance issues, and false claims avoidance, and routinely drafts and negotiates complex agreements regarding public and private construction as well as service contracts.

“Clients deserve responsive counsel, but that is merely a baseline,” Chris said of his approach to client service. “Legal services must address the client’s needs practically with an eye on providing value at every step. While every representation is unique, throughout my 30+ year career, I’ve focused on providing efficient, effective, sensible guidance to every single matter.”
