Over the last several years there has been a chipping away of non-compete agreements and there will likely be a complete ban on them in the near future. Despite these changes, there are still many ways employers can protect their data and intellectual property without them. Through carefully tailored non-disclosure agreements or non-solicitation agreements, employers can safeguard their companies. Additionally, employers should provide access to sensitive information only to those who directly require it.
