Hinckley Allen Earns Sixth Consecutive Construction Executive Top 50 Construction Law Firms™ Ranking

Hinckley Allen’s nationally recognized Construction & Public Contracts Group is ranked no. 15 nationally in Construction Executive‘s The Top 50 Construction Law Firms™ for 2026, marking its sixth consecutive year on the list. The recognition comes during a period of sustained growth for the practice, highlighted by geographic expansion, significant litigation affecting the industry in the State of New York and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and continued representation of contractors, owners, developers, and public entities on complex construction and infrastructure projects throughout the United States.

The recognition comes as the group continues to build on its national momentum. Since the survey period, the team has continued to achieve significant results for clients, including representing Columbia Construction Company before the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court in a Prompt Pay Act and arbitration dispute. In a closely watched decision, the Court reinforced the Commonwealth’s strong public policy favoring arbitration and clarified that contractors may pursue recoupment claims after invoices are deemed approved under the Massachusetts Prompt Pay Act, providing important guidance for owners, contractors, and subcontractors navigating payment disputes.

The group also represents the Associated General Contractors of New York State (AGC NYS) and a broad coalition of business and construction industry organizations in a federal constitutional challenge to New York’s expansion of its prevailing wage law governing off-site fabrication. Earlier this year, the firm secured a court order temporarily blocking enforcement of the law while the litigation proceeds.
